At Sourcefabric, we always look forward to sharing our tools with bright people who have brilliant ideas. So, when the bpb (in English: Federal Agency for Civic Education) approached us to partner with them and n-ost to organise a workshop for bloggers we were more than up for it. That's how we got 21 bloggers together in Berlin for the tools & skills workshop SHIFT. SHAPE. MOBILIZE.
One thing we can say for certain is that we are uncertain about the future of the news industry. Trends come and go and there is no silver bullet for keeping an online newsroom competitive. So unless you’ve got a crystal ball tucked away somewhere, I'm placing my money on Superdesk, a future-proof newsroom management system.
Ashkhuzhak (activist) radio was launched in September 2015 as one of the radio stations of the microwav.fm project. It runs on Airtime and Newscoop and is an independent radio platform managed and hosted by three civil right pioneers in Armenia. Their goal is to work for human rights and drive progress for civil rights and diversity in Armenian society.
Today we announce the release of Live Blog 3.0 stable version, a completely revamped version of our open source live blogging software. We are proud to announce that Sourcefabric became an associate member of the International Press Telecommunications Council (IPTC) in November of 2015. IPTC is the Global Standards Body of the News Media, bringing together over 50 companies, organisations and associations from the news industry.
