How we improved our cloud-based radio automation and why.
In December we quietly rolled out our cloud-based open source radio automation platform called Airtime Pro. Built on our open source software (which was downloaded over 12,000 times last year by the way!), Airtime Pro aims - like all of Sourcefabric's software - to give professional tools and capabilities to independent media organistaions, regardless of size or resources.
Yesterday, we made a few changes to the site and packages after getting some great feedback from users. Here's a list of what's changed and why!
Free trial
Try before you buy! Choosing a radio automation software is no small undertaking. We've set up a 30 day, no-risk free trial to let you test Airtime Pro with no strings attached. Cheaper Starter package
We're commited to making it easier for more people to afford professional media tools. The Airtime Pro starter package is now a steal at $49.95 a month, and comes with 10GB of storage space, unlimited users and the ability to use any streaming provider (though we offer very competitive streaming rates too of course!).
30% off Soundcloud Premium
Thanks to our good friends at SoundCloud, Airtime Pro users can now enjoy 30% off SoundCloud hosting and take full advantage of Airtime's built-in upload features. Stations like West Africa Democracy radio use this feature to upload content automatically and then instantly share to the web, increasing their reach and listener engagement through SoundCloud's amazing social tools and audio player.
Clearer pricing grids
Radio stations have varying needs, ranging from the bedroom DJ who sorts their own streaming, to larger commerical automation newswires who have thousands of listeners and a need for different streams in different bandwidths. All these options were available in Airtime Pro from the start, but now they're clearer.
The Starter, Plus, Premium and Enterprise packages now contain only base hosting prices - streaming and support are now available as add ons. Bronze support which includes live chat, forum and email support, is included with all hosting packages as standard.
