Meet us at OKfest, Open Minds to Open Action
From July 15-17 we'll be attending OKfest in Berlin. The Open Knowledge Festival is an annual event that focuses on promoting themes of open data. This year they plan to bring together over 1,000 people from more than 60 countries to share their skills and experiences and encourage working together to build tools and partnerships that will further the power of openness as a positive force for change.
With this years theme of Open Minds to Open Action, their goal is to turn ideas into concrete platforms for action that will continue to grow long after the festival finishes. festival will "define solid goals which will be accomplished at the festival and beyond, co-creating a roadmap for the future." We're using this opportunity to join the dialog and help in any way we can by using Sourcefabric's open source tools for media development.
You can check out the festival programme details here. We hope to catch you at the Kulturbrauerei, an amazing venue situated in the heart of Berlin, where all the core events will be hosted.
