We're more than halfway through the development of Storyteller, an interactive, longform theme for Sourcefabric Newscoop. Read Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.

We've pushed quite far ahead with the Storyteller this week and moved from a static HTML build to a Newscoop-powered, content block-driven theme.

Support for video and image chapter headings is now implemented, as is support for inline and full-screen slideshows, within which we hope to add video soon.

Currently it is also possible to have a standard block of text to break up your full-screen media extravaganza! All of this plus deep-linking and support for context sensitive ambient audio, too.

Currently we're on track for an alpha release sometime in mid-June, shortly after which we will unveil an example longform article utilising all the functionality at our disposal.
