Global News: a clean theme for Newscoop

Global News is a brand new theme for Newscoop, whose design offers many widgets with a clean and simple design. This theme is a good starting point for Newscoop users and theme developers, as it boasts a small CSS footprint and uses Bootstrap 3 CSS framework, making the responsive features easier to manage.

The CSS structure is inspired by our Anchorage theme, with a skin file and layout using LESS as CSS preprocessor. So if you want to change the colours, fonts or other aspects of the look and feel you just need to change one small portion of the skin file.

Responsive images

This theme has support for responsive images. According to the device that renders the theme, it will load the most adequate image best suited to the screen resolution, making load times faster for mobiles and displaying bigger and better pictures for high resolution or retina display devices.

Mobile navigation slider

We've added a custom navigation menu for mobile devices that looks good and is also very useful for the user.
