The Mozfest open web community gets amplified with Airtime

Airtime visits London and Mozfest 2013
Airtime visits London and Mozfest 2013

Last weekend the Airtime team took to London for a whirlwind weekend at Mozfest. This annual event draws individuals from the open web community from all over the world. It was a unique experience for us to network and share Airtime with such a large international community. Through the magic of radio, we added a dynamic online storytelling component to connect those not physically present with the action at the festival. Here are a few key interviews that we caught during the weekend.

Mark Surman, Executive Director of Mozilla stopped by our table and was able to give us a quick and thorough overview of the festival. He also shared some valuable insight into the history of the Mozilla Festival and how it has grown over the past four years.

Next up are the Saturday night keynote speeches by Camille Francois, Mitchell Baker, Alexander Fowler and Bethany Koby.

And finally we wanted to share our chat with Dan Sinker, Mozilla-Knight Opennews founder, who told us what he was up to at Mozfest. He shares some interesting details on why data is so exciting and innovative for news journalism today.
