Hack4Good inspires global participation for a good cause
Last week we got busy at the Berlin Sourcefabric office hosting one of many Hack4Good events around the globe. Working with Geeklist, we brought together over 40 enthused individuals who want to create a better world using code. There were 25 cities in total organizing 48 hours of hackathon fun for a good cause.
By the end of the event we were proud to announce that two winners of the Berlin event made it to the global round. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they get further in the competition! You can check out a few pictures from the event here.
And of course, it just wouldn't be a Sourcefabric event without a live broadcast, brought to you by Airtime. During the event we went live interviewing folks all over the world including participants in Kathmandu, Minsk, Paris, and London. We even managed to get a word in from UNICEF about how important events like these are towards building innovative solutions for the future. You can listen to our recordings from the event here.
Next weeks we are gearing up for a trip to London to attend Mozfest. We'll be teaming up with some great radio friends and promoting Airtime.
- If you'll be in London next week come join us for a kick off meetup!
