Drink coffee and eat code at Sourcefabric's Open Day
Coffee and technological innovation! What more could you want? Next week sees the third Sourcecamp, our annual team get-together and - as is customary - we'll take this opportunity to fling open our doors and allow you to meet the sofabulous souls that make up our global team.
We'll be locked away in our secret retreat roapmapping and scheming from 24th - 27th September, but on Friday 28th September we invite each and every one of you to our Berlin Open Day.
From 1000h - 1700h, we'll be working in our office and you can come and meet us. Who does this apply to? Well, everyone, but especially...
Journalists. Come and meet our coding teams and tell them what you need from open source news tools.
Developers. Get help navigating our Github, pitch your ideas or learn more about implementing and hacking our tools.
Editors and Media Owners. Meet other Sourcefabric partners and see how we transform newsrooms.
NGOs and non-profits. Learn about the work we're doing worldwide to promote independent media.
We'll be serving coffee all day, no invitation needed. Just drop by and we'll introduce you to who you need to know. Whether you are an activist or an artist, a funder or a founder, a hack or a hacker, you're welcome. Here's the Facebook event if you want to let us know you are coming.
In the evening, we'll be hosting Hacks/Hackers Berlin, a fast-paced evening pitching event where journalists and developers meet to discuss ideas for rebooting journalism. This also takes place in our office, starting from 2000h. Sign up at meetup.com, places are limited and going fast!
